Your Feedback Makes A Difference

In an ongoing effort to keep a pulse on our clients wants and needs, we recently started surveying our new customers monthly. The feedback we receive is instrumental in providing all CCS clients the best in church music performance licensing as well as educate and inform those that may not yet be aware of the need for it.

The biggest takeaway from our findings was that 57% of churches are purchasing music licensing because it’s the right thing to do (we cover this more in-depth here), with 39% wanting to cover liability and risk. About half of our new clients were actively seeking out information online regarding licensing information. This tells us that our mission of education on church copyright issues should remain forefront for our company.

We had a moment to chat with Christa Getchell, the CCO of St. Andrews Lutheran Church, and a client who recently signed up for both the WORSHIPcast Online Streaming License and the PERFORMmusic Onsite Facilities License about why they chose to license with CCS.

“As the COO of a large Lutheran church part of my responsibility is to manage and mitigate the risk to the organization.  Having a CCS license at our church provides peace of mind for two reasons. First, the PERFORMmusic covers our church when we access music outside the worship setting.  Like so many other churches, music is the medium that creates and brings communities together and this can happen at confirmation camp or at a community picnic. Knowing we have the proper licensing allows our musicians to focus on their music and outreach versus worrying about copyright licensing…

Second, the WORSHIPcast license covers our church with our live streaming option.  In today’s tech-savvy age, worship needs to be more available and convenient with our congregation members 24/7  and to those people seeking a place of worship We are covered and ensured the artists are appropriately compensated for their music even when their music is over the internet.   A win-win all around!!”
