Easter, Spring, and Outdoor Events

Does your Church have the right licensing in place?
Hard to believe it’s been almost a year since we entered quarantine. Over that year we’ve been blown away by the creativity and commitment churches have displayed when it comes to continuing to worship.
Streaming services became the new norm, and while not a replacement for worshiping together, has opened the doors to reach a wider audience. We’ve experienced bonding together through streaming services; whether out of state or homebound. God has touched us right where we are. Churches remain hopeful that streaming will continue to be a valuable outreach instrument long after restrictions are lifted.
If your church has started to meet again things probably look very different! Restrictions vary from state and state and we are hearing more from churches that have found creative and responsible ways to meet on-site. With Easter and warmer temperatures on the horizon we’ve spoken with churches holding drive-in events and socially distanced gatherings, outdoor concerts and easter egg hunts. And the question always comes up, “What about music at our events? Do we need licensing if we are outside?”
The short answer, yes. While every situation is different, your church may need the PERFORMmusic Facilities License from CCS. The PERFORMmusic License gives your church tremendous freedom to play or perform more than 28 million live and pre-recorded songs anywhere in your facilities and satellite campuses.

The above examples are just a few of the church activities covered under the PERFORMmusic License. And with an extensive catalog of Christian, secular, holiday, and choral music you are sure to find just the right songs to complement your programming.
This year churches have enough to worry about, but copyright compliance doesn’t need to be one of them. Download our newly updated fact sheet, Why Your Church Needs Performance Licensing. This FREE download focuses on practical reasons your church or ministry may need church performance licenses, not just during holidays but all year.
